House of Deva is on a mission. With the purchase of our first home last June, we realized that our style has once more evolved from the loft we came from into the rancher we now adore and call home.
One of the elements we've been yearning for in our design is the warmth of natural woods. So items that might have fit in our loft, no longer flow with the scheme of things here and I've been flipping through my tremendous stash of inspiration photos to find more and more ways to pull together what we're looking for.
This living space was featured in House Beautiful a few years back. I adored it the moment I laid eyes on. Dramatic and serene all at once. The amber colored glass and fabric pieces that dot the room keep the eye moving without jolting the senses. But the killer pieces in the room have to be the always stunningly glam and lovely photo of Lauren Bacall and that wood ceiling. This room is very eclectic, there is an array of different design styles from several eras, but the color palette and placement keep everything pulled together beautifully, making this one of my all time favorite rooms.
